inspired

After spending a good 2 hours on several "green" blogs. Apartment therapy and chezeraby I have decided I want, ok probably more than that do some of these ideas. So to start it off these are a few of the requirements I want. I want a house near or at least commutable to my work, with Kit in school I don't see this as always happening but at least I should be able to commute most days, plus it's not like it's a hard idea. I want a front porch that is covered and gabeled, To hang the kayak, or kayaks. I really like the idea of building my own kayak and staining it the same color at the house, though our red kayak will still be my favorite. Also a small "inside" porch for the bikes. I want it to keep the bikes out of the house but still in a semi warm area some times it would just be nicer. Also it would be nice to have a a buffer which is a two door entry way. Also with 3-4 years of us starting out I think a project would be fun, and I really like the idea of doing a renovation of an older house, which hopefullly would make it a cheaper house. Other small ideas that I think would be great. plus make most if not everything recycled.

Kitchen.
integrated so that the things that we eat a lot some how is incorporated, kit likes wine lets use a piece of an old wine barrel that would have been thrown away into a pot holder.

thoughts

ok there are a couple of thoughts going around me head right now.

1. NEVER EVER should senior teachers assign project, test, and test and projects due the class after homecoming that happens to also be Halloween. I'm basically studying me life away while people are, 1. downtown (ehhh so don't care but better than here), 2. watching movies (ok so im doing this but still), 3. doing nothing (ok so that just sounded lazy but I said it)

3. as for above every one read the "It's the great pumpkin: Charlie Brown"
it probably describes life better than any philosophy book ever could think of.

4. Riding my bike with kit, even thought it doesn't happen much is probably one of the most relaxing things if i'm in the right mood, which honestly sometime I'm not. It teaches me things to slow down for a bit. Before I was riding with her my hill climbs sucked after about a week of riding with her my hills improved 150%. Shows you some small things and how it work.

5.the whole idea of I soon am going to be a husband is scary, I'll admit. It takes some thinking about. In less than 8 months i'll be married.

6. I need to get with chad and write a stupid blog post for the other blog, it's a fantastic idea and other people have already gotten on it before us, and we've already had a tasting party

a little late

So Greenville hosted the national cycling championship and George Hincapie won the stars and strips jersey. With only one other team member Craig Lewis who just came back from the swine flu. What a great domestique, he really showed his level of expertise. It's kinda sad though, because this might be his last great race as he has switched to a national team but I mean he does have two children and why not. He is going to be signing with BMC, and Lance Armstrong is signing with radio shack along with the rest of Astana besides Contrador, which I feel like most people will be more than fine with. Hopefully radio-shack can take the lead and hold the group, and it's too bad that Hincapie didn't take Armstrongs offer but I'm sure that his new team, hincapie's will be able to take advantage of his skills, and I hope they do.

getting back in the saddle

it's been two weeks so far of training, and getting back in the saddle, from only 100 miles this summer to 200 a week, it's been kinda rough and plus the move in, but you know it's good for me. Lost most of the summer weight, most being the key word and planning on what I'm going to do with my life during school. Some times I wish that it would just end sooner than later and these next two semesters are going to kick my butt. Yet it's still not as bad as it could be so I'm not going to complain, it's senior year, 1st year on the cycling club, and road racing doesn't start until the spring. So here's to training, here's to friends, and most of all here's to all the seniors at clemson, hurah and let's get it through this
